I'd believe a public BETA by winter 08, but not the full game.

I guess they're afraid of doing something new, since WoW is such a success. Kind of like why StarCraft2 looks just like StarCraft but with a new paint job.

QFT, thats why I said Dawn of War is the real Starcraft 2, new mechanics, and very revolutionary within the field of RTS's IMO.
But yeah, why would WoW want to make any advancements that could potentially damage its already endless success.

And those are official dates, right?
Nope. Not even the GW2 ones.

Are you trying to say that we're having GW2 because, unlike WoW, GW1 is an endless failure?
I agree, though.

$29.95 ($19.95 if you consider the $10 savings from the BMP)

I agree completely, if GW2 gets released at the same time, Blizzard had better choose to change the release of their expansion, or they'll look real bad.

BLizzard's business model is to "not compete with themselves". The reason they held out with SC2 for so long is because they didnt want it to compete with warcraft 3 and SC1 still sells.
They wont start baking a WOW2 untill the current WOW starts sliding.
